Definitions

  • We, our, and us each means Carinsuranceconcepts.com, also referred to as “Car Insurance Concepts”.
  • You and your each means all of our past and present customers and visitors to our Internet website located at www.Carinsuranceconcepts.com (the “Site” hereinafter). Customers include any consumer who has applied for or obtained a financial product or service by virtue of using our agent-matching administrative services.
  • Nonpublic Personal Information (or “NPI”) means information about you that we collect when we provide our agent-matching administrative services to your. NPI does not include information about you that is available from public sources, such as telephone directories or government records.
  • Nonaffiliated Third Parties means a company that is not affiliated with Car Insurance Concepts or one of the Agents.
  • Visitor Provided Information means any information, as listed in detail below, that a visitor to the Site deliberately provides by supplying information into a data field provided within one or more application forms on the Site.
  • Automatically Collected Information means information we collect automatically from anyone who visits the site, and specifically includes your IP address and the date, time, duration and browsing details of your visit, such as the specific pages on the Site browsed, whether any advertiser’s links were clicked, and whether any forms or contact-us pages were filled out and submitted.

What Personally Identifiable Information does Carinsuranceconcepts.com collect? A primary purpose of collecting information from you is to provide you with a safe, smooth, effective, and personalized experience. We will only collect information about you that we consider necessary.

Generally, we collect information in several ways. Some information is gathered if you fill out the form provided on the Site for collecting personal information so that Car Insurance Concepts may facilitate matching You with one or more Agents. This information (called “Visitor Provided Information,” as defined above) includes at a minimum:

  • your last name,
  • your home phone number,
  • your email address,
  • your residence street name and number, and duration of your residency thereat,
  • your state of residence,
  • your driver’s license number and issuing state thereof,
  • your date of birth

Any Visitor Provided Information you supply via one or more of the data forms provided on the Site is shared with only the Agents in our affiliate network. It is Car Insurance Concepts’s policy NOT to share this information with any Nonaffiliated Third Parties and will not do so without your express permission. We will, however, from time to time share and send information among our own Car Insurance Concepts servers located throughout the United States and, in some cases, in other countries around the world.

We also save browsing and data-log information linked to your usage of the site. This includes your IP address, duration and frequency of visits to the Site, and other information of a purely technical nature that we find helpful in managing, optimizing, and maintaining the site and its performance.

We also collect personal information through the Site’s contact form and email system. This personal information is optional and includes your email address and your name along with any information you choose to submit. If you contact us by email, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

We use your Visitor Provided Information to allow us to provide you with agent-matching administrative services that seek to match you with a Lender who meets your needs. We will use your email address and name in order to reply to the messages received on the contact portion of the site. We also may use your personal information, including your Visitor Provided Information, your Automatically Collected Information, and any other information you provide, to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, respond to your inquiries, detect and protect against error, fraud, or other criminal activity, enforce our Website Terms of Use and our User Agreement, and for any other purposes that we deem appropriate.

In order to provide services free of charge, we display advertisements from one or more independent, third-party advertisers. The advertiser never has access to any personal information you provide to us, including but not limited to your Visitor Provided Information or your Automatically Collected Information. Only we do. By accepting the Terms of Use, User Agreement, or this Privacy Policy, you expressly agree to receive advertisements from these advertisers while visiting, browsing, accessing or otherwise using the Site.

Who is collecting information?

When you are using the Site and are asked for personal information, you are sharing that information with us. You acknowledge that data can be collected, maintained by, or transferred to another company, or other entity, within our sole judgment and for any purpose reasonably necessary to carry out our core business objective of providing you with Agent-matching administrative services. This includes encrypted storage servers and website analytic services, whether located on our premises or on the premises of our service providers contracted for such purposes.

You also acknowledge and agree that the data can be combined with, refined by, or used in any other matter with data from any of the websites owned or operated, in whole or in part, by us.

Please be advised that our advertisers or websites that have links on the Site may collect personally identifiable information about you. The information practices of those websites linked to Carinsuranceconcepts.com are not covered by this Policy.

With whom does Carinsuranceconcepts.com share my information?

Carinsuranceconcepts.com will not disclose your personally identifiable information except as described below.

Some of our employees and contractors are subject to non-disclosure agreements with us. Recognizing the global nature of the Internet, you agree to comply with all applicable local laws and rules regarding online conduct and privacy, as well as content. Specifically, but not as a limitation, you agree to comply with all applicable laws regarding transmission of technical and personal data exported from the United States or the country in which you reside.

We do not tolerate spam. You are not licensed to add us or any user to your mail (email or physical mail) list without his or her affirmative consent. You are not licensed to use spam in promoting the Site.

What security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse, or alteration of my information?

We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards designed to safeguard your nonpublic personal information. We use procedural and mechanical safeguards to protect your personal information against loss or theft as well as unauthorized access and disclosure to protect your privacy, including encryption. Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. We cannot, therefore, warrant or ensure the security of any information you transmit to us or from our online products or services, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.

Children, as defined by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) to be persons under the age of 13, are not authorized to use the Site. Children are therefore prohibited from submitting any personal information to us, and the Site is not reasonably expected to attract the attention of children so defined. As such we claim exemption from the additional requirements of COPPA. Furthermore, persons under the legal age of majority for the purpose of forming binding contracts (which varies by jurisdiction, but is commonly between 15 and 19 years of age) are also prohibited from submitting any personal information to us through the Site.
